Change the Season.
I wonder why summer has to end. Change is happening before my eyes and all the amount of wishes of it coming back is for a better word falling. I think that is a pun. I tried?
This weekend I was suppose to go on an adventure yet I have no vehicle. I just feel lazy. Another day just slipping away! I have an idea though. A few. I really want to do some Halloween photos. Why not celebrate the upcoming season of fall and Halloween but with some cool and spooky portraits.
I really need to reach out for some models. No one really has to be a model either. If you can wear a mask and look slightly creepy then I can take a photo of you. I kind of want to do a series.
Please no one steal this idea. Actually if you do use this broad idea tell me as I’d like to see creepy portrait photos. I love that kind of thing.
As for this Saturday I’ll spend it planning some shoots I want to do and maybe reaching for a few people who might be interested. Once winter hits I wont be able to shoot portraits as easily as no one will want to be outside. I like natural light and then you add dead set winter to that mix and it becomes hardcore. You want to take photos outside but then you have to fight waves of snow and temperatures that make your fingers numb.
Today’s photos I took in my backyard. I wanted to show how fall is hitting and hitting fast. Fall doesn’t last long in Alaska. It goes quickly to a winter and that means I roll up in a ball wishing for summer.
I used my 50mm for these photos. I edited them in lightroom using
C-kodak portra 400 VC ++ preset. This is one of my favorite presets to use. Adds a lovely film look which I’m fond of.
